If I had to fly a 109 it would be K4. As good as the 109 was by 1944 it was outclassed by most Allied fighters.

It is amazing to see these warbirds looking like they just rolled out of the factory. We see them today as beautiful, and amazing machines, and it is easy to forget what they were made for. Most of the pilots were in their early 20's who had to grow up in a hurry to do their jobs and survive. My family was on the receiving end of these machines, and I thank God that the allies won. My parents would have never met, but for the war. My mother, her sister, and her mother fled from Schlesien to Bremen. When she was 12 years old, she and her sister were walking through a field, and an allied plane strafed the 2 of them. Luckily he missed, but war is war. My parents were blessed to be sponsored by am American soldier to come to the US. Both my parents became American citizens after I was born, and I am thankful to be an American. I couldn't get Germany out of my system though, and worked for LH Cargo for 23 years before becoming disabled. It sure was nice to have been able to go to Germany for training in Seeheim! Sorry for my rambling. Thank you so much for sharing "Frances Dell" with us. Warbirds really is one of my favorite UA-cam channels! Tschüss!

Below 20,000 feet the planes were equal; above 20,000 feet the Mustang completely outclassed the 190A

I’ve always loved the deep-throaty growl WWII planes made, especially the B-17 and the Corsair. Living near an airport, and when I hear that sound, I stop whatever I’m doing to run outside and look for the plane, and am always rewarded with a WWII plane. They bring a smile to my face and a prayer of thanks to all members of our military, especially for the greatest generation and my dad who served in the Navy in the pacific during that time.

1965, On my way to my first duty station. Traveling to Albany, Ga. Turner AFB. In Atlanta airport, was catching a flight to Albany. Southern Airways. My first flight in a DC-3. 1969, stationed in Thailand. Had to fly to another base to repair an F-105. Flew in a C-47. West Germany, early 70s . I talked with a crew chief for a C-47 of the Norwegian airforce. That C-47 was built in 1943. Yes...One great aircraft.

When I was a kid, circa 1950, I would watch the Corsair's practice dive bombing a barge on the horizon on the western end of Lake Erie. Those Corsair's were out of the Grosse Ile Naval Air Station. Memories.

Sadly this doesn’t look like to be an original me bf 109 but an example fitted with a Griffon engine ( same as lateste spitfire variants ) probably of Spanish production.

She is a film star, "Zwei himmlische Töchter " as aircraft Emma, by air company "Donnerflug 2".

Einfach wunderschön. Eigentlich schade das immer nur Kriegsmaschinen das volle Potential ausschöpfen (Aussehen, Leistung) Aber so ist es nun mal.
